Director of Development

Ilana Smith joined Northwestern Mutual in July, 2008 as Director of Development bringing her financial sales and recruiting background to the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network - Albany . Ilana is a 2002 graduate from SUNY Geneseo with a B.A. in Political Science. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Business Administration at SUNY Albany. Ilana is the 2011 Chair of the GenNEXT Council, sits on the Lung Cancer Alliance-NY Advisory Board and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Man and Woman of the Year Committee. Ilana is a Leadership Tech Valley Class graduate, an active participant in the GenNEXT Mentorship Program, The Women's Business Council , the Capital Region Recruiters Network, The Capital Alliance of Young Professionals and Saraotga Young Professionals. Ilana resides in Saratoga Springs and in her free time enjoys running, spinning, snowshoeing, skiing and cooking.
